SAGG NAPOLI is a multidisciplinary artist working with performance, video, sculpture, installation, fashion design and sound curation. She graduated at Camberwell College of Arts in London (2014), is an Artist and professional Archer, competing on a National level. While championing her #SouthAesthetics, the artist devotes her practice to cross-examining gender politics, economy, along with portrayals of class and ethnicity in high and popular culture. For the artist the body is always at the center, her body certainly, but human bodies as a whole, the body as a social and political entity, a site of identity and agency and above all, potential. SAGG takes the tools that all users have at their disposal but makes something much more interesting and profound than what one typically finds on the platform – her art, because it is so personal and exists firstly with her body, has an immediacy that fully functions on social media. SAGG is a performer first who moves in and out of different media in what might be an attempt at mastery but seems most clearly to be a way of knowing herself, finding and creating a self that she decides upon. In addition to solo practice, SAGG NAPOLI collaborated with other artists (“Drama” with Stefania Batoeva) and curators (“Lezioni d’Italiano” with Stella Bottai and Milovan Farronato). In spring 2020 SAGG NAPOLI began her journey to become a professional archer and embraced the discipline in both athletic and artistic terms.

In 2020 she was the finalist for the AFFAsin visual Arts, the Arts Foundation, in 2014 the Flat Time House research award and in 2015 she received a grant for the Artist residency at Pitch, Unilever
